A message from the Bikers United:
Aloha,
This holiday season, Street Bikers United Hawaii, is proud to host the 35th Annual
SBUHI TOY RUN PARADE 2009. In order to continue this event, we need your financial
support. This annual motorcycle parade, through Waikiki, collects thousands of donated
toys from Hawaii.s motorcycle community and others to provide economically challenged
children with Christmas gifts.
11:00 A.M. (Park open 7A.M.) Parade route MAGIC ISLAND To KAPIOLANI COMMUNITY COLLEGE (KCC)
Throughout the past thirty-four years, Street Bikers United Hawaii volunteers have
worked endless hours to support this event. This year, it has become evident that addi-
tional funding sources are necessary to keep this benevolent event afloat. We need your
generous donations to cover the parade costs, which are estimated to be $12,000.
On Sunday, December 6, 2009, motorcycle enthusiasts from Oahu, neighboring islands,
mainland USA, Japan, England, Australia and others from around the globe will ride from
Magic Island to Kapiolani Community College to donate thousands of toys to the United
States Marine Corps' Toys For Tots program.
Please give generously. Many of our island children are depending on this event to receive
a gift at this special time of year. All donations are tax deductible. Please make checks
payable to: .The Toy Parade Inc. and mail it to: SBUHI, P.O. Box 5003, Kaneohe, HI
96744.
Please write "The Toy Parade Inc" on the bottom of your check. If you or your company
would like to participate in this "Legacy" parade, please contact Rick Davis at 261-2594

Webmaster N's comment: An estimated 6,500 motorcyclists collected $2000 in cash! Thats about 30 cents per biker!! Come on, bikers. You can do better next time!! Webmaster to the marines: in 2009 another trillion dollars was spent on the military. Please make the case for proper social welfare in the USA. Toys for tots is nice, but the US is a community in solidarity, not a corporate milking barn.
